Kindred Spirits is a small family home childcare located in the Sunrise Mountain area of Las Vegas. We currently have openings for 3 full time children ages 2 and up.
Hours:We are currently open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Rates: I charge a daily flat rate of $25 a day for full time (children who come 4 or more days a week) and $30 dollars a day for part time or drop ins. The rate includes: all meals and snacks, activities and outings. For siblings there is a 50% discount.
Licensure: Unfortunately, Kindred Spirits is not licensed at this current time. This is simply because my landlord has yet to send back the needed paperwork, though she has given her verbal approval. I do plan to pursue licensing in the near future. As an unlicensed center, the adult/child ratio is 4:1
My family and I: I am a mom of two wonderful ladies who are 9 and 11. Currently we are homeschooling after spending many years in the public school. I am engaged to a wonderful man who is pursing a degree in journalism. We have several pets including 2 dogs and 3 cats which are all very friendly with the children.
My credentials:
Education: I am pursing a degree in Early Childhood Education and have taken most of the ECE classes required for the degree including: curriculum planning, child guidance, parent relations, nutrition, and observation and assessment.
Work History: I have been working in child care for over a decade at several childcare centers both here in Las Vegas and in Fairbanks, Alaska. I prefer the intimacy and flexibility of a home setting over the larger child care center model and feel that small children thrive in this type of environment.
